At the Edge of the Ocean:
I have heard this music before,
saith the body.
Mary Oliver
Today is World Oceans Day. Four of us from MomoButoh Company planned to do a dance today honoring and celebrating the Ocean... None of us live close together, and we didn't plan ahead of time the scores for our dances. I was looking so forward to seeing what each of us as individuals was going to create as part of a larger whole...
The disaster in The Gulf of Mexico has been weighing so heavy on my spirit lately and I have been thinking of how important it is as an individual to make choices in my life that will have a positive effect on the greater whole...
I was holding the following quote in my heart prior to this dance:
“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.” Mother Teresa
This dance embodies my desire to not feel helpless in the face of such an enormous environmental disaster that we are experiencing at this time in our existence. How do we go on living day to day, except to appreciate and love the beauty of the world and to make choices as individuals, as best we can, that will not contribute to the continuing destruction of our planet ocean....

May all beings everywhere be happy and free from suffering and may our thoughts and actions contribute to that happiness and freedom from suffering for all beings.
